Holiday Lets - to dress or not to dress?Absolutely yes, but it needs planning. What to buy and where to put it? We've all seen croissants and glasses of orange juice on a breakfast table. There's nothing wrong with that but what else? Little things make a difference... quality condiments, shiny cutlery, maybe a teapot (don't forget cups and teaspoons) and eggs. I think eggs always look good. If you were going on holiday here what would you love for breakfast? Porridge, coffee and toast for me every time and that can look great too if you take the time to prepare the scene and sprinkle some greatness on the porridge. A few fresh vegetable on the side and how about a freshly baked loaf? Think editorial... tender stem broccoli looks better than ordinary broccoli. Red peppers and onions for colour, probably some spring onions too. For a cleaner look, maybe just fruit but make sure it's well presented and don't forget flowers! It takes a while to do but it's fun and inviting. For the sitting room maybe a cafetière and fresh cakes? This looks great and tastes even better. Use quality coffee and use the packaging. Light the fire. Every time. Upstairs, keep it simple with clean towels neatly folded on well-made beds. Maybe a few books? In the garden, if it's sunny and pleasant then yes. Drinks? Flowers? Make it pretty and it will work. That'll all look lovely. Trust me.
